Bob and Sarah Bahrs are the directors of the annual Heartland Dance Festival & Kansas City Swing Challenge held in October. Bob has been an instructor for over 20 years studying extensively in all couples' dance styles. Bob and Sarah, won 4 consecutive UCWDC World Waltz Championships. They accumulated 38 consecutive Waltz titles spanning 3 years. Bob & Sarah accumulated 6 Masters titles before Sarah decided to retire in order to start raising a family, but not before they were crowned the UCWDC World Masters Champions! Bob and his next partner, Debbie Bernard, were the 5-time UCWDC Masters Champions (making Bob the first & only UCWDC competitor to win Masters championships with 2 different partners.) They were 2-time Hustle champions and the Nashville Network's (TNN) Country Dance Invitational Waltz champions. Bob and Debbie also won 5 UCWDC Division I Grand Championships (making Bob the first and only UCWDC competitor to win Division I Grand Championship with 3 different partners.) Bob dancing with Jill O'Donnell, won Southwestern Regional Division I Grand Championship. Bob has also won over 10 UCWDC Pro-Am World championships with his students. |
